John Creedon and Tara Loftus receive Quercus awards
Two undergradudate students from UCC's BA in Digital Humanities and Information Technology, John Creedon and Tara Loftus, have received Quercus College Scholarships in recognition of their academic achievements.
Each year, approximately 125 undergraduate students are awarded Quercus scholarships on the basis of the results of their University exams in the year immediately preceding the year in which the scholarship is awarded.
UCC's Quercus programme seeks to recognise motivated students who demonstrate high intellectual achievement.
John is currently in the final year of his BA in Digital Humanities and Information Technology, while Tara completed the first year of the programme before transferring to a BA in Spanish & Computer Science. The award was Tara's second in recent months after she recieved one of UCC's awards for Excellence in the Digital Humanities back in October.
