Professor Suzanne Timmons invited to speak at European Geriatric Medicine Society Meeting in Valencia.
20 Sep 2024Professor Suzanne Timmons was invited to speak at a meeting of the European Geriatric Medicine Society (EuGMS) at Valencia Conference Centre from 18-20 September 2024.
The Centre for Gerontology and Rehabilitation team contributed to nine posters at the congress, including three presented by our students and academic team, along with contributing to 6 additional posters.

Findings of the first ever audit of Parkinson’s disease care in Ireland have now been published
11 Apr 2024Today, on World Parkinson’s day (Thursday 11th April), the first ever national audit of Parkinson’s disease (PD) care in Ireland has been published by the Centre for Gerontology and Rehabilitation. It shows areas of good practice, along with many areas for improvement in specialist PD care.

14 Mar 2024Happening On 14/03/2024University College Cork (UCC) recently hosted the first ‘kick-off’ meeting for the €7.5m Horizon Europe funded ‘In-Touch’ Project bringing together consortium members from across the EU and Canada.
The In-Touch project is set to enhance the lives of people with dementia living in care homes through a multisensory care programme approach.
