Researchers from all career stages in the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences joined with colleagues from across the University to have their achievements recognised in the UCC Research and Innovation Awards on 1 June in the Glucksman Galler

Funded through the HEA North-South Partnership, this research represents the first feminist sociological account of border life on the island of Ireland from the overlooked perspectives of women living in border communities. 

An interdisciplinary team of researchers from University College Cork and Queens University Belfast have secured funding from the Shared Island North-South Research Programme for their collaborative project entitled ‘TOGETHER- collaborating across prison walls and borders’

Funded by a HEA North-South Research Programme Strand 1 award, this project led by Dr Caitríona Ó Dochartaigh, UCC and Dr Nioclás Mac Cathmhaoil, UU Magee, was inspired by the Educational Dialogue strand of the Shared Island Initiative, which calls on educators North and South to learn from each other and jointly reflect on the future of education on the island.
