World-renowned singer and fiddle player Niamh Dunne and multi-award winning film maker Emer Reynolds are among the Artists in Residence who will be celebrated at a special event at University College Cork (UCC) on Monday, 15 April.

Members of the public are invited to join UCC students and staff for an event exploring the power of art to inspire, educate and connect people and communities.

The Fellowships also provide UCC students with opportunities to work with and learn from writers and artists of distinction who share their own unique experiences and perspectives on the opportunities available in the arts in Ireland and internationally.

Professor Jools Gilson, Professor of Creative Practice and Director of UCC Creative, said: “Culture and creativity are deeply interwoven within the fabric of UCC, where we are committed to meaningful academic and cultural initiatives that champion exceptional artists across disciplines - writers, translators, musicians, theatre, dance and visual artists. We’re excited to bring our diverse and distinguished Artists in Residence together for a special event that will explore the arts, culture and creative endeavour at UCC.

The ’UCC Artists in Residence 2024: A Celebration’ will take place on Monday, 15 April at 6pm in Aula Maxima, UCC. All are welcome to attend. RSVP for tickets here.
