Research Report on Student Volunteering
Making a Difference
Our recently published ‘Making a Difference – A Research Report on Student Volunteering in UCC’ represents the most comprehensive study of student volunteering in Ireland to date.
The research evidences student's impressive commitment to volunteering with 46% of students surveyed say they have volunteered in the previous six months. 58% of these students report that they volunteer on an ‘ongoing basis’, while 37% volunteered for ‘occasional or one-off events’, such as fundraising or organising an event. Only 9% of students had never volunteered and 85% expect to volunteer after college.
