Working with Children and Young People Through Education
Wednesday 13 October, 2.00pm-3.00pm
Celebrating the positive impact of educational research being conducted in Cork, with local school communities at primary and secondary school level, this event showcases three case study examples from the School of Education at UCC.
Educators and researchers from primary to third level are invited to come along to discover how PhD research connected with schools in Cork can support meaningful inclusive education and healthy living for children and young people.
Together with and for Community
Schools Partnerships: The UCC School of Education regularly works with schools across the City and region. It supported the essential work of teachers through COVID19 working together with 86 partner schools and over 100 placement partners for student teaching, providing over 750 student full time equivalents. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, the School of Education worked closely with local and national partners to sustain and support schools and teaching through the pandemic.
UCC Community Week: This event is part of UCC Community Week 2021. During Community Week, staff and students across the university come together with community and public sector partners to host community focussed events and activities. The week long programme of events celebrates UCC as a civically engaged university.
