Neighbourhood Support Grant

Neighbourhood Grant Scheme

The UCC Neighbourhood Grant Scheme scheme aims to provide small seed funding to assist neighbours as they undertake community projects, with collaboration from UCC students and/or staff.

Intended for projects that are small scale, achievable, sustainable and that benefit the community. This could include graffiti removal, biodiversity projects, education or cultural initiatives. The initiative also aims to contribute to community life, through fostering positive connections between local residents, UCC staff members and UCC students.

The scheme supports neighbourhoods that have significant numbers of UCC students residing in the area.

Projects can apply for up to €250 in funding.

To run a ‘Neighbourhood Grant Scheme’ project you just need:

  • An idea
  • A plan to involve local people, including students or staff
  • To keep a record – maybe in photos
  • To share the story of your project
  • To report on the success of the project
