Collaboration

Local

Much of our research is conducted at Fota Wildlife Park in County Cork, Ireland. However, we have also conducted research in other zoological institutions throughout Ireland, including Dingle Aquarium, The National Reptile Zoo and Dublin Zoo.

Regional

Elsewhere in Europe, we have conducted research at Apenheul Primate Park, Netherlands; Africa Alive, Banham Zoo, Bristol Zoo, Howletts Wild Animal Park, Chester Zoo, Colchester Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade, UK.

Global

We are also leading a global collaborative research project involving zoos in several different countries. Some of the partner zoos for this project include:

Fota Wildlife Park, Ireland

Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS), Singapore

National Zoological Gardens of South Africa

We have previously conducted research in conjunction with The Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia and the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre (formerly De Wildt) in South Africa and Toronto Zoo in Canada.

Congratulations to one of our research partners, Fota Wildlife Park, on their 40 year anniversary!
