2D Transition Metal Dichalcogenides

Research Status

Composite image showing where the Selenium atoms reside in the NbSe2 crystal using conventional scanned tunneling microscopy (grey - left), and the location of stationary electron pairs observed using scanned josephson tunneling microscopy (blue - right). Imaging using the two modes was carried out in an identical field of view, so that the composite image shows how the two phenomena, the atomic crystal of the TMD material and the new electron-pair crystal state, coexist.
