School of Pharmacy marks Antimicrobial Awareness Week in Brookfield

Antimicrobial Awareness Week takes place every year from 18 to 24 November. 

To mark the occasion, the School of Pharmacy, in conjunction with Pharmsoc, held an awareness morning at UCC’s Brookfield Health Sciences Complex.

Students and staff of the School provided information and advice, including the appropriate use of antimicrobials and the challenges around antimicrobial resistance.

Thanks to the Health Services Executive (HSE) Antimicrobial Resistance and Infection Control (AMRIC) Unit for providing us with information for the event.
