School of Nursing and Midwifery EDIB Student Forum

First meeting of the new School of Nursing and Midwifery's Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Student Forum (EDIB Student Forum) held on Monday October 16th
On the 16th October in the School we hosted the inaugural meeting of our School’s Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Student Forum. This incredible and insightful group of students shared their experiences and critical insights into how we can work together to make our School and programmes more inclusive and welcoming. This meeting was facilitated by Dr Angela Flynn (Chair Athena Swan) and Dr Brendan Noonan (Co-Chair Athena Swan).
It was incredible to hear all of the students' wise and insightful comments and suggestions. We really appreciated their honesty and their generosity of time during a busy semester. At a time when the world seems to be becoming more divided, and when there are people busy sowing division, it is truly heartening to see students come together and engage so positively to make our school a more welcoming, diverse and inclusive space. Exciting times ahead’.
