UCC hosts conference on Pope John Paul 11

The School of History at UCC is hosting a major international conference on the life of Pope John Paul II on Saturday 9 November.

A range of expert speakers from Ireland and Poland will address various aspects of the late Pope’s career, including:

        The moral theology of Pope John Paul II;

        John Paul II and European politics;

        The Catholic church in Ireland and the pontificate of Pope John

        Paul II;

        Women in the church of John Paul II;

        John Paul II and the People’s Republic of Poland;
