Secrets of the Irish Landscape published by Cork University Press has been shortlisted for the Best Irish published Book of the Year Award.

Cork University Press won the award last year with the Atlas of the Great Irish Famine.

Building on last year’s initial success, The 2013 Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards will once again be televised. The event will be filmed for broadcast on RTE1 on Saturday 30th November at 10.45pm. Last year this same slot reached an audience of over 400,000.

Secrets of the Irish Landscape edited by Matthew Jebb (Director of National Botanic Gardens in Dublin) and Colm Crowley (Head of Production in RTE, Cork) examines many little understood aspects of the Irish Landscape from the last Ice Age until now.
