Two UCC staff members, Dr Jean Van-Sinderen Law and Dr Geraldine Boylan are among the shortlisted finalists for The Women Mean Business Awards for 2010.
The Conference and Awards Ceremony, designed to recognise the outstanding achievements of Ireland’s businesswomen, takes place on Monday, September 27th 2010 at Dublin’s Shelbourne Hotel, St. Stephen’s Green.
The conference will feature a diverse range of speakers to include Julie Meyer, CEO of Ariadne Capital; Avivah Wittenberg-Cox, CEO 20-first and Phillip Matthews, President of the National College of Ireland. The theme this year is ‘Believe in Change’ and the day will include a panel discussion; facilitated networking with Aviva and Awards lunch.
The Independent Judging Panel for the Awards includes:
- Una O’Hare, General Manager and Director of ITronics Ltd.
- Mary McHale, Principal Group Manager with the office division in Microsoft’s European Development Centre
- Mike Jones, Manager in Accenture’s Management Consulting practice within the Supply Chain Management service line
- Frank Cronin, CEO of Newstalk 106-108fm
- Rosemary Delaney, Managing Director of WMB Publishing Ltd.
The overall winner from five categories will be chosen at the event.
