Success for UCC Students
24.02.2010

UCC Management and Marketing students, Margot Jonker and Katherina Kaltenborn, featured this year on the first and second placed teams of the Virtual International Case Competition.

The competition, hosted by MITEL and the University of Ottawa (Telfer School of Management), involves six teams from North America, Europe and Asia simulating an important international business collaboration between citizens from around the world using state of the art, online communications technology.

In response to the most recent result, Dr Micheál Kelly, the Dean of Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa, sent the following message:  “The Telfer School would like to congratulate Ms Margot Jonker for being a member of the winning team in the second annual Mitel International Case Competition.  This year’s competition involved students from business schools in Ireland, Singapore, France, India and Canada. It is the second time that a UCC student has been a member of the winning team. I have been very impressed with the quality of the UCC students that I have encountered and we are delighted to have the University’s Commerce Programme as one of our partners in this competition.”
