As part of Cork’s Lifelong Learning Festival which runs this week, parents of children attending the 10 primary schools participating in Pathways to Education are visiting campus to hear about educational opportunities.

Pathways to Education aims to deliver a cross-sectoral strategy to enhance accessibility and to widen participation for learners. According to Dr. Tracey Connolly, programme co-ordinator ‘by working with primary schools, Pathways to Education plays a vital role in supporting learners at the early stages of the educational life-cycle’. The motto of the Lifelong Learning Festival is ‘Investigate, Participate, Celebrate’ and this was very much the theme of the campus visits which were supported by the staff of the UCC PLUS+ Programme.
