The event will be held in Cork University Hospital’s new Cardiac Renal Centre. Professor Noel Caplice, Professor of Cardiovascular Sciences and Director of the Centre for Research in Vascular Biology in the BioSciences Institute will co-chair the meeting with Professor Declan Sugrue, Associate Clinical Professor at University College Dublin. Distinguished faculty from UCC will be joined by international colleagues from the Mayo Clinic, Rochester Minnesota in presenting a series of lectures on new developments in the diagnosis, treatment and management of cardiovascular disease.
The conference will provide a unique educational opportunity for the more than 130 Consultant Cardiologists, Cardiology Specialist Nurses and other health care professionals registered for the event. The US and Irish perspectives presented promise to provoke thoughtful discussions on current practice and provide a forum for lively debate.
