West Cork/Gougane Barra Field Trip

As part of their Landscape Character, Context and Change module, students from both the Landscape, Built Heritage & Design and the M.Plan Year 2 programmes took part in a one-day study visit to the West Cork region.

As part of their Landscape Character, Context and Change module, students from both the Landscape, Built Heritage & Design and the M.Plan Year 2 programmes took part in a one-day study visit to the West Cork region led by course lecturer, Karen Ray. This involved an exploration of of the varying cultural and physical landscapes, starting from the urban/metropolitan/suburban context of the city, to Iniscarra/Ovens to the west of the city, through to the unique Gearagh landscape, and onwards to Kilnamartyra and finishing in Gougane Barra at the source of the River Lee.
