Teaching will be based in the School of Medicine’s Clinical Skills Department and Anatomy teaching will take place in UCC’s FLAME Anatomy lab.
The course includes lectures on intravenous contrast Agents, infection control, Medico-Legal and best practice guidelines, adverse events (including anaphylaxis) and practical considerations around intravenous cannulation. Teaching is a mixture of lectures, practical sessions in the Clinical Skills Department and FLAME Anatomy lab, and simulated scenarios in the Patient Safety ward.
