Teaching and Learning
Teaching at UCC is student-centred and patient-focused. Teaching methods include seminars, laboratory practicals, tutorials, case-based teaching and clinical skills sessions. Students have early patient contact and as students progress through the course, the emphasis is increasingly on bedside teaching. The medical school has a dedicated academic Medical Education Unit which provides expertise in programme development and assessment.
