5 Times Irish University of the year

UCC has been name Sunday Times Irish University of the Year for a record breaking fifth time
University College Cork achieved the reputable Sunday Times University of the Year five times, including 2017 in the 15-year history of the award. This is a fantastic achievement which was rightly acknowledged by the top editor, Mr Alastair McCall of The Sunday Times Good University Guide.
Unlike other Universities, the editor said UCC had enjoyed unparalleled success in the annual ‘University of the Year’ award: a winner on five occasions and now the first to win the award in two successive years.
“It is not hard to see why. The institution prioritises teaching excellence alongside an undoubted research pedigree. At UCC, teaching and research excellence are not either/or options.
As a student, you will benefit from this on a daily basis, enjoying high-class teaching, graduating with high-class degrees and going on to get excellent jobs, with the name of UCC as your Alma Mater University, standing you in excellent stead with prospective employers".
