Alan Clayton of SOS Ventures VC and Start-Up Coach – SELR8R PROGRAMME

Alan is a Mentor with Enterprise Ireland and also delivers the “The Entrepreneurial Mindset” programme on behalf of the Regional County Enterprise Boards.

Of late Alan is involved in co-ordinating and presenting the SOS Venture’s backed “SELR8R” programme which is a Hothouse for Sales programme for start-ups in the technology area.  SELR8R works especially well for Irish and international based companies with both national and international ambitions.  SOS Venture’s is the Venture Capital Company backed by Sean O Sullivan of the Dragon’s Den and Bill Liao Entrepreneur.

Alan has also been heavily involved in the Fairtrade and Transition Towns movement.

 Michelle Zhang, UCC Lecturer and Expert on Doing Business in China

Michelle is a Chinese national and holds a PhD in Chemistry having worked for a number of years in GlazoSmithKline. She also holds an MBA and her areas of expertise include Strategic Management, Microeconomics, and Corporate Finance.

Michelle currently Lectures in UCC part-time while also providing consulting services to companies who want to do business in China, including but not limited to export/import products, setting up business in China, finding business partners in China.

Michelle’s talk with cover China Business Planning, Setting up in China; Exporting to China; Importing and Outsourcing in China and Chinese Government Relations. It will also touch on Chinese Website Analysis/Market Intelligence Gathering.
