Young Investigator Awards for Nutritional Science students

Several of the Vitamin D Research Group within the School of Food and Nutritional Sciences presented at the international conference on Vitamin D and Health – from the gamete to the grave in London very recently. 

 The strong representation at this important meeting included a plenary and oral presentation as well as five poster presentations within the three day event.  The group collected two Young Investigator Awards (recipients: Ms. Sinead O’Donovan and Ms. Aoife Hayes) for their work on aspects of vitamin D and human health in early life and older adults, respectively.  The conference also had a significant representation from partners of the Vitamin D Research Group led EU FP7 ODIN project on vitamin D and health.
