BIM/UCC Business Graduate Placement Programme 2025

Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) are looking for innovative graduates (x2) who are interested in career development opportunities, travel, and working within a dynamic team in a flexible work environment.
Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM), in conjunction with the Food Industry Training Unit, University College Cork, is offering a unique opportunity to join BIM's dynamic team in Clonakilty, Co. Cork. This unique opportunity offers career development, travel, and hands-on experience in the seafood industry, complemented by sponsored professional training and a Diploma in Food Manufacturing Management.
The overall aim of BIM’s Seafood Innovation Hub is to drive commercial growth in the Irish seafood sector through market-led innovation. Successful candidates will will get experience across a variety of projects in a growing seafood industry working directly with companies on research projects, data analysis and insight generation and innovative business concepts whilst also supporting marketing, technical and viability colleagues.
The role also offers sponsored continuous professional development with UCC’s Diploma in Food Manufacturing Management and other role specific training available. There are also opportunities to travel nationally to coastal communities and internationally to exhibitions and market visits.
The post will suit a motivated individual who demonstrates initiative and can operate both strategically and practically to meet the needs of industry. The successful candidate should be organised, with the ability to work and report clearly to tight deadlines.
This graduate scheme (2 roles in total) will involve eleven (13) months working in the BIM Clonakilty Office and commences in September 1st 2025.

Salary: €29,120 over the 13-month contract commencing in September 1st 2025.
