Diploma in Corporate Direction (Food Business) graduate, Pat Clancy, Elected as New Chair of Dairygold Co-Op
Dairygold Co-Operative has announced Pat Clancy as its new chair, effective this January.
A recent graduate of the UCC-ICOS Diploma in Corporate Direction (Food Business), Pat, who hails from Ballyporeen, has been a member of the co-operative’s board since 2018 and previously served as vice chair from 2020 to 2022.
A long-time contributor to Dairygold, Pat has been involved in its general committee since 2008 and regional committee since 2005. His late father, Pat, also played a pivotal role in the co-op's history.
Expressing gratitude for his election, Pat praised the co-op’s strength and commitment to its members, acknowledging the leadership of his predecessor, Seán O’Brien, for his dedication to advancing the society.
In addition to his role at Dairygold Co-Operative, Pat is vice chair and director of the Munster Bovine Group, a director at the National Cattle Breeding Centre (NCBC), and serves on Bord Bia's dairy subsidiary board.
Clancy said he is eager to address industry challenges and drive sustainable returns for stakeholders, working closely with the board, CEO Michael Harte, and members.
