UCC School of English and Digital Humanities to Take Part in 2022 Corvinus Programme

Transition Year Programme in the Arts and Humanities
Programme dates: 28 February - 4 March, 2022
Subject to Public Health Guidelines
TY Convinus will be held from 28 February - 4 March 2022.
This programme is designed for Second level Transition Year students interested in literary, creative, and historical humanities.
One week-long programme includes a range of workshops and taster lectures/seminars on.
- Celtic Civilisation
- English
- Greek and Roman Civilisation
- History
- History of Art
- Theatre
Convinus students will have the opportunity to experience what it is like to be an undergraduate student, to attend lectures with other undergraduate students and to experience focused study in special tutorial groups. The programme includes varied workshops (See Corvinus Programme 2020, these included Creative Writing, Theatre and Performance and Visual Literacy).
This structured programme introduces TY students to a broader third-level student experience and will include a tour of the campus, an introduction to the library and a career talk.
At the end of the course, the students will receive a Certificate of Completion.
Application: Entry is by application and limited to fifteen places only.
Students will be admitted to the programme on the basis of their motivational statements and the subjects they are studying for Leaving cert.
Applications must be submitted on the application form, available at (Corvinus Application), typed and sent by email.
The deadline for applications is Friday, 10th December, 2021.
