Launch of Anthology of New Writing

Collection features work by graduates of UCC's MA in Creative Writing
You are invited to celebrate the launch of Surge, a new anthology from the Brandon imprint of O'Brien Press. The guest speaker is Billy Ramsell, who will read some of his poetry.
Two students from UCC's inaugural MA in Creative Writing appear in Surge. Short fiction from Madeleine D'Arcy and Bridget Sprouls was chosen by competition for the volume, which features new work from creative writing students on Masters writing courses nationwide.
Students - and their teachers - from UCD, Trinity, Queens' Belfast, NUIG and UCC contributed to the collection, including UCC Writer Fellow, Mary Morrissy. Writers Eilis NĂ Dhuibhne, Mike McCormack and playwright Frank McGuinness also feature.
