Heather Laird Interviewed for Sligo’s Thread Softly Festival 2026
1 Sep 2026
Heather Laird was recently interviewed for a podcast series, “Shifting Borders of Memory”, released as part of Sligo’s 2026 Thread Softly festival. “Shifting Borders of Memory” explores the impact of the squaring of the land, the Famine and the Land War, and their legacies, on the small farmer and small farming culture in rural Ireland. This interview draws on research for her current book project: Land and Literature in Modern Ireland.
