Veera Ojala visits Digital Humanities for Erasmus+ Exchange
Veera Ojala visits Digital Humanities from Turku University for Eramsus+ Teaching Exchange
This semester Veera Ojala visited the Department of Digital Humanities as part of the Erasmus+ Teaching Exchange programme.
Veera, who is based at Turku university in Finland, delivered a series of talks and workshops to students on the MA in Digital Arts & Humanities and as well as students in the School of Society, Politics & Ethics with the support of Dr. James Cuffe.
These sessions introduced students to the application of visual methods to address questions arising in digital cultures projects.
Veera's research, which explores the visual cultural heritage of nuclear catastrophe zones, sparked interesting new discussions amongst students and staff about the role and limitations of digital technologies in visual cultural heritage.
It was a privilege to host Veera in the department and we look forward to working with her again in the future.
