Erasmus Scholars from Comenius University visit Digital Humanities

As part of the Erasmus staff exchange programme, the Department of Digital Humanities had the honour of welcoming Dr Michaela Hroteková and Simona Bajakova from Comenius University in Bratislava.
Dr Hroteková is a lecturer in linguistics. Her current research interests are focused on social media slang and its role in education.
She conducted a workshop titled Social Media Slang in Education, exploring the benefits of incorporating contemporary internet slang and trending expressions into English lessons.
Simona is working on her doctoral dissertation, titled Landscape as a Tropological Problem in the Work of American Southern Women Authors.
The visit presented an opportunity to exchange experiences regarding teaching and discuss potential collaborations between Comenius University and the Department of Digital Humanities.
