Prof. Maciej Eder gives workshop at UCC

Today, Prof. Maciej Eder gave a workshop on stylometry at UCC.
Jointly funded by CASiLaC and the departments of Digital Humanities and Italian, the workshop introduced computational techniques for measuring authorial style.
Prof. Eder is Director of the Institute of Polish Language at the Polish Academy of Sciences, and Associate Professor at the Pedagogical University of Kraków, as well as one of the world's foremost scholars in the digital humanities, particularly stylometry.
The workshop will be followed tomorrow by a roundtable discussion on Elena Ferrante, authorship and style, framed by a 2018 publication by Prof. Eder entitled, "Elena Ferrante: A Virtual Author".
