Professor Louise Crowley joined UCC Law student Alicia O’Sullivan, founder of Safety Over Stigma, in appearing before the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Tourism Culture, Arts, Sport and Media as part of the pre-legislative scrutiny of the General Scheme of the Online Safety and Media Regulation Bill, to highlight the dangers posed by the inadequate regulation of online platforms and the related scope for online abuse.
