Visiting Students
The School of Applied Social Studies, UCC, extends a warm welcome to visiting students. The School is a centre of excellence in the Social Sciences and is one of the largest and most diverse schools in UCC. Our ethos is encapsulated in our mission statement:
"The School of Applied Social Studies provides an educational and scholarly environment which promotes a culture of critical intellectual and practice enquiry in the Social Sciences, based upon participation, inclusion and diversity".
The School is strongly student-centred and prides itself on supporting its students through their studies. There is a large academic staff group committed to teaching, research and providing a very positive student experience. We offer a wide range of undergraduate modules in the core disciplines of social policy, social work, and youth and community work.
