Ciara Russell is a graduate of UCC with a Master’s in Business Information Systems and a Degree in Computer Science. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Technical Writing from University of Limerick. Ciara relocated to Ireland from Australia in 2017 where she worked with Sony PlayStation in Sydney for 8 years as an Intranet Business Analyst. During this time, she implemented process improvements using workflow and intranet technologies to support the ANZ region. Having previously worked with Hewlett-Packard and Dell Computers, Ciara has over 10 years experience in the IT industry ranging across business analysis, project management, development, testing and training.​

Ciara joined the UCC Academy in 2018. As a PRINCE2 qualified project manager and a PROSCI certified Change Practitioner, she has worked across the university implementing IT systems. Ciara is currently working with UCC IT Services to help support the delivery of strategic digital projects for the university.
