Meeting in Girona very interesting and enjoyable

The Girona meeting comprised a very successful, and very well organised, mixture of talks, discussions and networking. Delegates discussed aspects of plant-insect relationships including the use of UV-B for sustainable pest management, aspects of UV and evolution, including comparisons of UV-responses in Chara, liverworts, mosses and lichens, and development of UV-bioindicators, and the importance of UV as a stressor in the context of multiple environmental influences.

The delegates also enjoyed a tour of fascinating, historic Girona (one brave delegate was even seen kissing the bottom of a lioness?!) and visited experimental sites in the wonderful Gavarres Massif.
