A joint paper by the Ultrasonics Research Group and the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences in UCC was presented at the 2018 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (2018 IEEE-IUS) conference in Kobe, Japan.

The paper by Brendan C. Barry, Lindy Verstraten, Fidelma T. Butler, Padraig M. Whelan and William M. D. Wright was entitled "The use of airborne ultrasound for Varroa destructor mite control in beehives".
