UCC welcomes filming of The Rachel Incident
The beautiful University College Cork campus will be showcased in a major screen production as it is one of the settings of the forthcoming television adaptation of Caroline O'Donoghue's acclaimed novel The Rachel Incident.
University College Cork recently welcomed Cork author and UCC alumna, Caroline O’Donoghue, back to campus during filming of The Rachel Incident, based on her book of the same name. The new Channel 4 series, which takes place across multiple Cork locations, brings elements of O’Donoghue’s work to life across several UCC settings, with parts of the university serving as a key backdrop for the production. Set in Cork, it tells the story of a university student as she navigates friendship, love and personal growth.
UCC President, Professor John O’Halloran MRIA, welcomed Ms O’Donoghue to the President’s Office on Thursday, 21 May, where they discussed the project and related topics.
