Patient and Public Involvement in PHM

We warmly invite patient and public representatives to attend the 18th Annual Conference of Psychology, Health and Medicine. The role of patient and public involvement in health psychology is crucial to conducting meaningful research and improving practice. This year, the conference wants to acknowledge this by offering patient and public representatives the opportunity to attend the conference free of charge.

For patients and public contributors

If you are involved in health-related research, you are welcome to attend the conference free of charge. Attending the conference will provide an opportunity to learn more about the latest psychology research and practice. It will also provide an opportunity to get to know other PPI contributors and health researchers. You are not expected to do anything on the day other than sit back and enjoy the wide variety of talks and guest lectures. If you would like to attend, please complete the expression of interest form below.

If you would like to present on a research project that you are involved with or on your experiences of being involved in research, you are more than welcome to submit a proposal for a talk. Please contact the PHM conference team at if you would like to do this and we will talk you through the process.

For researchers

If you are a researcher that works with PPI contributors, you are very welcome to nominate a PPI contributor to attend free of charge using the expression of interest form below. Please discuss this with your PPI contributor first.

There is no obligation for PPI contributors to present at the conference but they are more than welcome to if they wish. Similarly we welcome presentations on the topic of patient and public involvement; to submit an abstract for the dedicated patient and public involvement session, please do so here. Please contact if you would like more information.
