A Night at the Pharmacy Masquerade Ball

On the evening of February 9th, the annual Pharmacy Ball was hosted at the Rochestown Park Hotel, resonating as another resounding success.

The ballroom was elegantly adorned with decorations that complemented this year’s masquerade theme. Masks were provided for all attendees, and the room was decorated with jewels and balloons.The evening commenced with a reception at 6.30pm before attendees were seated for a three-course meal. The highly anticipated awards ceremony followed. The Chairperson of the Pharmacy Society, Conor McCarthy, along with committee members Julie O'Sullivan and Siobhan Nestor, presented the awards amid jubilant applause- most notably echoed by the fifth years! Dr JJ Keating presented the esteemed Athena Swan Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) award to the deserving recipient, Darragh Golden. Darragh Golden is an MPharm student and was nominated by his fifth year classmates for this award. Dr Lorraine Bateman received the Faculty Member of the Year award, voted for by students across all year groups.

Afters guests arrived at 9.30pm and the evening was further elevated by the performances of the talented band UV5. The night was enjoyed by all, filled with laughter, good company and the making of wonderful memories.

The Pharmacy Society would like to thank Rochestown Park Hotel for their assistance over the past number of months, photographer Sinead Crowley and Surgeon Noonan for providing the cloakroom.
