Roisin Cassidy was awarded a Breakthrough Cancer Research PhD Scholarship for her PhD project entitled "Chemosensitisation of oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma using epigenetic modifiers and cytotoxic drug polytherapy."

They are particularly focused on improving outcomes for those cancers, which are poorly served by current treatment options.
