There was  a big turn out for the Annual Conference of the Irish Association of Pharmacologists (IAP) which was held on 30th November.

Among those attending from UCC were 10 researchers from the School of Pharmacy and the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics.  Two of these attendees PhD candidate Anja Tetzner and Researcher Andrew Moore each made presentations.

Anja  presented a paper titled "The Angiotensin-(1-7) Mas axis improves pancreaticβ-cell function in vitro and in vivo." Andrew presented a poster on "The virtually mature BNP (BNP1-32) is a precursor for the more potent BNP1-30."

The IAP has been in existence since the mid-nineties and runs a very successful Annual Conference each year.  This year's meeting was held at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
