2014 Press Releases
UCC through to Web Awards final

University College Cork (UCC) has been nominated across multiple categories in the final stage of the 2014 Web Awards taking place on 22 October.
Maurice Ryder, UCC Webmaster commented, “We’re delighted to yet again be considered for the finals of the Irish Web Awards. Not only have we been nominated across several categories for our main site (www.ucc.ie) and for our site celebrating the 200th anniversary of George Boole (georgeboole.com), but one of our students, Róisín O’Brien, has also been nominated for her fabulous digital repository fleischmanndiaries.ucc.ie. We’ve been at the forefront of the web since its inception when UCC created Ireland’s first website over 20 years ago so it’s great that UCC, often considered quite a traditional organisation, can still compete in the fast paced world of the web.”
We have 3 @UCC sites in the running for the @webawards this year. Absolutely thrilled to be in the finals.
