Legal ink as Law student wins Eircom Spider
UCC Postgraduate Law student Thomas Bullman has won the award for Digital Retail at the Eircom Spider Awards 2014 for Madinks.ie.
Thomas is the co-founder of Madinks.ie and is currently a PhD student in the Law Faculty of UCC. The Cork City (Lower Glanmire Road) native set up the site during 2014 to provide business and home consumers with an equal quality but lower cost alternative to expensive ink and toner products.
The other co-founders include Donal Ryan, Elias Darwish and Blaine Bullman.
Having won the WebAwards title for best micro e-commerce platform in October 2014, Madinks now builds on this success by winning the 2014 Eircom spider award for Digital Retail Excellence.
Thomas Bullman said that the award from Eircom and the WebAwards was an endorsement of the technical innovation of the Madinks.ie platform and recognition of the user experience and value of the business proposition to both home and business users.
