UCC seeks work placement hosts
The Careers Service UCC is calling on companies interested in hosting students on work placement in 2014 to get in touch.
Placement managers in the Careers Service place over 700 students every year from the College of Science, Engineering & Food Science and the College of Business & Law. 2014 will be no different. Hundreds of employers both in Ireland and abroad traditionally partake, from large multinationals to small SMEs across all industry sectors. Previous participant companies include Deloitte, EMC, Pfizer, Amazon, Apple Computers, Microsoft, Musgrave, Google, Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard, State Street Bank and many more.
Previous student roles have included Software Development Engineering Intern; Trainee Auditor; Trainee Tax Consultant; Corporate Finance Intern; Marketing Executive; Junior Retail Management Trainee; Strategic Sourcing Analyst; International Customer Operations Assistant; Human Resources Executive; Legal Assistant.
Companies interested in recruiting a student for 2014 are asked to call +353 (0)21 4902349/3193 or email careers@ucc.ie with a job description of the position(s) available. A list of potential participating companies will then be shared with students, who will make their choices.
