Careers Service - Work Placement

At University College Cork, a number of our undergraduate and postgraduate courses have an integrated Work Placement Programme.

Work Placement Officers, based at the Careers Service, are responsible for the management and development of programmes in Business and Law, and in Food, Science and Engineering and this site gives details on these.

A number of other Work Placement programmes, including Business Information Systems, are managed directly by our academic departments and information on these can be obtained from the relevant academic staff.

Each year, over 900 students are placed with a network of 700 employers, both at home and abroad.

Work Placement gives students the opportunity to gain practical work experience relevant to their course and gives employers a valuable source of skilled labour.
