Take to the stage at UCC

UCC invites all budding actors, directors and theatre makers to their Drama and Theatre Studies open day this Saturday.

The day kicks off at the Granary Theatre, Mardyke (opposite Presentation Brother's College) at 11am and ends at 2.00pm. The programme will include workshops, a tour of the drama facilities and college campus.

Booking is essential and should be done by email to s.hopcraft@ucc.ie.

UCC has a number of prominent graduates in the fields of in theatre, television, film, and arts and has one of the leading departments of Drama and Theatre Studies in Ireland with a growing national and international reputation for the excellence of its research.

 The University focuses on preparing students for the profession and have connections with local, national and international theatres as well as national and international cultural organisations.

UCC also has a long and established Drama society, Dramat, previous members of which include: Fiona Shaw (Actor), Cillian Murphy (Actor), Graham Norton (TV Presenter and Actor), John Crowley (Film and Theatre Director), Pat Kiernan (Theatre Director) and Tom Creed (Cork Midsummer Festival).
