College of SEFS announces new scholarships
UCC is delighted to announce new scholarships in the College of Science, Engineering and Food Science (SEFS), aimed at attracting international talent.
These scholarships will be available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students from outside the EU. They will be valued at 25% of the tuition fee for undergraduate students and at 25% or 50% for exceptional postgraduate students, and will be available for the 2013/14 academic year.
Commenting on the development, Head of the College of SEFS, Professor Patrick Fitzpatrick says: “UCC’s strategy for internationalisation sets ambitious targets for increasing the proportion of international students on our campus. This scholarship scheme is designed to attract the most outstanding students from around the world to our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the sciences and engineering and food science.”
To be considered for a scholarship, candidates should apply to UCC for a place on an undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme in the College of SEFS by the deadline of 1 June 2013 and pay a deposit of €500 no later than 24 June 2013.
