UCC’s College of Business and Law hosted the Inaugural International Education Scholarships which were based on the Leaving Certificate 2011 exam results.

There were twenty seven scholarship recipients from across thirteen degree programmes within the College of Business and Law. The scholarships are valued at €1,000.

The purpose of the International Education Scholarship Fund is three-fold:

  1. To attract high achieving students to the College of Business and Law who would not be eligible for an Entrance Scholarship;
  2. To support particular degree programmes which emphasize the internationalisation of business and legal education; and
  3. To provide some financial support to students wishing to avail of the study abroad or work placement abroad opportunity.
The Head of College was delighted to honour these high achieving students and wished them well with their future studies. All scholarship recipients received a parchment and a cheque from the Vice President for External Relations, Mr Trevor Holmes.
