At the event, entrepreneurs were introduced to third-level researchers in structured sessions facilitated by Sean McNulty of Innovator, a specialist business innovation consultancy based in Dublin. The event also included a case-study presentation by Dr Mark Ledwidge of Solvotrin Therapeutics Limited.
The workshop took place in the newly launched gatewayUCC Incubation Centre which, among its range of facilities, provides ‘wet lab’ space for bio-technology companies and incubation space to support and accelerate the development of successful knowledge-intensive enterprises, translating academic research in commercially viable technology-led companies, thereby providing a stimulating environment to nurture and explore the feasibility of their business opportunity.
