The 2010 Awards Programme will endow a distinguished graduate from each of the four constituent Colleges of the University (College of Arts, Celtic Studies & Social Sciences, College of Business & Law, College of Medicine & Health and the College of Science, Engineering and Food Science) with an Alumnus Achievement Award. A fifth graduate will also be honoured with a Voluntary Service Award for their outstanding voluntary contribution to UCC.
UCC is delighted that the Awards will once again be sponsored by: Architectural & Metal Systems Limited (AMS), Little Island, Cork; Boston Scientific Cork; Bank of Ireland UCC; Henry Ford & Sons Cork and PWC Cork.
The annual Awards Programme acknowledges the outstanding accomplishments of UCC alumni in all walks of life and has proven very successful in the past number of years with outstanding graduates receiving Awards each year. The 2010 Awards selection process has already commenced.
Dr Michael Murphy, President UCC will present the Awards at a Black Tie Gala Dinner in the Aula Maxima, UCC on Friday, 3rd December 2010 at 7pm. A limited number of tickets (€80 each) are available for the Gala Dinner Awards Evening from the UCC Alumni Office on Tel: 021 4902040.
